Synopsis/Plot
Wanderlust is a 2012 American comedy film directed by David Wain and starring Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, and Alan Alda. The film follows a Manhattan couple who, after losing their high-paying jobs, decide to move into a rural commune, where their lives take a series of unexpected turns.
George and Linda are a married couple living in Manhattan. After George loses his high-paying job, they can no longer afford their lifestyle and have to move in with George’s brother. On their way to his brother’s house, they stumble upon Elysium, a rural commune populated by colorful characters living off the grid. Intrigued by the free-spirited lifestyle, they decide to stay and give it a try.
At first, George and Linda are hesitant to let go of their old lives and embrace the new one. But as they spend more time at the commune, they find themselves drawn to the laid-back atmosphere and the people living there. They soon become a part of the commune, taking part in its activities and learning to live without the material possessions they once had.
