Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie is a 2004 comedy film starring Will Ferrell as the titular character, Ron Burgundy. The film follows Ron Burgundy, a popular San Diego anchorman, as he attempts to reclaim his place in the newsroom after being fired for a series of embarrassing blunders.
The film begins with Ron’s former co-anchor, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), taking over his job. Ron is devastated and decides to take a break from the newsroom and move to a small town in the Midwest. While there, he meets Jack Lime (David Koechner), a former colleague who helps him get back on his feet.
Ron and Jack begin to work together to create a new and improved news show, which they plan to pitch to the local news station. Meanwhile, Ron’s former newsroom colleagues, including Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and Champ Kind (Dylan Baker), attempt to track him down and convince him to come back to San Diego.
The film follows Ron and Jack as they attempt to get their new show off the ground, while Ron’s former colleagues continue to search for him. Along the way, they encounter a variety of hilarious characters and situations. Eventually, Ron and Jack’s show is successful and Ron returns to San Diego to reclaim his place in the newsroom.
