Synopsis – What to Expect from “Violet & Daisy”
Violet & Daisy is a 2011 American dark comedy film directed by Geoffrey Fletcher and starring Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel, and James Gandolfini.
The movie follows two teenage assassins, Violet (Saoirse Ronan) and Daisy (Alexis Bledel), who are hired to kill a man named Michael (James Gandolfini). The two girls have been working together as assassins since they were young and they take their job seriously.
When they arrive at the apartment of their target, they find that he is not the typical target they usually deal with. Michael is an old man who is kind and gentle, and he immediately takes a liking to the two girls. He even offers them food and drinks and tries to engage them in conversation.
Violet and Daisy are conflicted about their mission. On the one hand, they have been trained to be cold-blooded killers, but on the other, they are beginning to see Michael as a person and not just a target.
The two girls eventually decide to spare Michael’s life, but this decision comes with consequences. They must now face the wrath of their employer, a powerful crime boss known only as “The Boss”.
The Boss orders his henchmen to pursue Violet and Daisy and they must now go on the run in order to survive. As they flee, they must confront their own feelings about the job they have been doing and the morality of their actions
