Synopsis – What to Expect from “Venom”
Venom is a 1981 horror film directed by Piers Haggard and starring Klaus Kinski, Oliver Reed, and Sarah Miles. The film follows Dr. Carl Stoner (Kinski), a scientist who is working on a serum to cure cancer. When he tests the serum on himself, it has unexpected and horrifying results.
The serum turns Stoner into a bloodthirsty creature with superhuman strength, speed, and a desire to kill. He also develops a taste for human blood, which he must consume in order to survive.
Meanwhile, the local police are investigating a series of gruesome murders that have been linked to Stoner. As the body count rises, Stoner’s former colleague Dr. Rachel Ryan (Miles) suspects that Stoner is the killer and sets out to prove it.
The film builds to a dramatic climax as Stoner and Ryan face off in a battle of wits and strength. In the end, Stoner is defeated, but the serum still exists and could potentially be used to create more monsters.
Venom is a thrilling and suspenseful horror film that features some truly terrifying special effects. It is also a cautionary tale about the dangers of scientific progress and the consequences of meddling with nature.
