Synopsis/Plot
Vantage Point is a 2008 American action thriller film directed by Pete Travis and written by Barry Levy. The film stars Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker, William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, and Edgar Ramirez.
The story follows the assassination of the President of the United States as seen from the different perspectives of several characters. Each character’s perspective reveals a different piece of the puzzle, and the truth behind the assassination is slowly revealed.
The action takes place in Spain, where the President is attending a summit on global terrorism. An assassin takes aim at the President and fires, but is stopped by Secret Service agents. As the President is rushed to safety, the agents, the assassin, and the witnesses all have different versions of what happened.
The film follows the different perspectives of the witnesses, the Secret Service agents, and the assassin as they all try to piece together the truth behind the assassination. Through each perspective, the truth slowly becomes clear, and the pieces of the puzzle come together.
