Synopsis/Plot
Valhalla Rising is a 2009 British-Danish historical action-drama film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and written by Refn and Roy Jacobsen. The film stars Mads Mikkelsen as One-Eye, a mute warrior of supernatural strength who escapes his captors with the help of a boy, Are, played by Maarten Stevenson. Set in the year 1000 AD, the story follows One-Eye and Are on their journey through the Scottish Highlands, encountering Christian Crusaders and Norsemen as they search for a new home.
