Synopsis/Plot
Upside Down is a science fiction romance film directed by Juan Diego Solanas and starring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst. Set in a world where two planets, one rich and one poor, exist in the same orbit, the film follows Adam (Sturgess), a poor man from the lower planet who falls in love with Eden (Dunst), a wealthy woman from the upper planet.
The two planets, the Upper World and the Down Below, are separated by a powerful force field, making it impossible to travel between the two. Adam and Eden meet as children, but as they grow up, their love is forbidden by the laws of their respective planets. Determined to be together, Adam embarks on a dangerous quest to find a way to cross the force field and be with the woman he loves.
The journey takes Adam to the mysterious Upside Down, a place of wonders and secrets. Here, Adam meets a scientist who helps him understand the laws of the Upside Down and how to use them to his advantage. With his newfound knowledge, Adam is able to cross the force field and reunite with Eden.
