Synopsis – What to Expect from “Up the Creek”
Up the Creek is a 1984 comedy adventure film directed by Robert Butler and starring Tim Matheson, Stephen Furst, Dan Monahan, Sandy Helberg, and Jennifer Runyon.
The film follows four misfit college students, Bob McGraw (Matheson), Doug (Furst), Wormser (Monahan), and Pippa (Helberg), as they compete in the annual river rafting race, the “Creek Race”. The four are determined to win the race, but they are up against a group of snooty, rich college kids, led by the obnoxious Ted (Jeff East).
The four misfits set out on their rafting journey, and along the way, they encounter some outrageous adventures. They must battle raging rapids, deal with a group of bumbling criminals, and even come face-to-face with a giant grizzly bear.
As the race progresses, Bob, Doug, Wormser, and Pippa become more and more determined to win, despite the obstacles they face. They eventually make it to the finish line, and to their surprise, they win the race.
The four misfits celebrate their victory, and the film ends with them proudly displaying their trophy. Up the Creek is a fun and lighthearted comedy adventure that is sure to keep viewers entertained.
