Synopsis/Plot
Unfriended is a 2014 horror film that follows a group of friends who are terrorized by a supernatural presence while using a social media platform. The film takes place entirely on a laptop screen and follows the group of friends as they use Skype to communicate with each other.
The story begins with Blaire, who is devastated by the recent death of her friend Laura. As the group of friends chat online, they begin to receive messages from an unknown user who claims to be Laura. The user begins to reveal embarrassing secrets about the group and eventually threatens to reveal even more damaging information if they don’t follow her orders.
The group soon discovers that the user is actually a malicious spirit that is using Laura’s account to punish them for their part in her death. The spirit begins to torment the group in increasingly frightening ways, and the friends must uncover the truth behind Laura’s death in order to save themselves.
