Synopsis – What to Expect from “Unfinished Business”
Unfinished Business is a 2015 comedy film starring Vince Vaughn, Tom Wilkinson, and Dave Franco. The story follows Dan Trunkman (Vaughn), a hard-working small business owner who travels to Europe with his two associates, Timothy McWinters (Franco) and Mike Pancake (Sienna Miller), on a business trip to close the most important deal of their lives.
The three of them travel to Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam to meet with a potential client, Chuck Portnoy (Wilkinson). Despite their best efforts, they fail to close the deal and return home empty-handed. Disappointed and dejected, Dan decides to take matters into his own hands and travels back to Europe with his team to prove to Chuck that they are the right people for the job.
The second attempt is filled with unexpected obstacles, crazy antics, and misadventures. Along the way, Dan and his team must overcome language barriers, cultural differences, and the antics of Chuck’s son, who is determined to sabotage the deal. Despite all the odds, Dan and his team manage to get the deal done and return home triumphant.
At the end of the movie, Dan learns an important lesson about the importance of friendship, family, and perseverance. He also realizes that sometimes, in order to succeed, you have to take risks and be willing to put everything on the line.
