Synopsis/Plot
Underdog is a 2007 American superhero comedy film based on the 1960s cartoon series of the same name. The film follows the adventures of a beagle named Shoeshine, who is given superpowers after an accident in a lab. With his newfound abilities, Shoeshine becomes the superhero Underdog and must protect the citizens of Capitol City from the evil plots of Simon Barsinister and his sidekick Cad.
The film begins with Shoeshine being taken in by a kindhearted couple, Dan and Molly, who are unaware of his special powers. Shoeshine soon finds himself in a sticky situation when he is kidnapped by Simon Barsinister, who wants to use Shoeshine’s powers for evil. With the help of his new friends, Shoeshine escapes and discovers he has superhuman strength, speed, and the ability to fly.
With his newfound powers, Shoeshine becomes the superhero Underdog and embarks on a mission to protect Capitol City from Barsinister’s evil plans. Along the way, he meets and falls in love with a beautiful police officer named Polly Purebred. With her help, Underdog is able to thwart Barsinister’s plans and save
