Synopsis – What to Expect from “Underdog Kids”
Underdog Kids is a 2015 sports drama film directed by Phillip Rhee.
The movie follows a group of inner-city kids from Los Angeles who are determined to make their mark in the world of Taekwondo. Led by their coach, Michael, the kids practice hard and compete in tournaments in order to prove their worth and gain respect.
The kids face many obstacles along the way, including a rival team and their own self-doubts. Michael, however, never gives up on them and encourages them to keep going. With his guidance, the kids eventually make it to the National Taekwondo Championship.
At the championship, the kids must face their toughest opponents yet: a team of highly trained and experienced martial artists. Despite their fears, the kids fight with courage and determination. In the end, they prove that they can compete with the best and become champions.
The movie ends with the kids celebrating their victory and Michael’s words of encouragement ringing in their ears: “You can do anything if you just believe in yourself.”
