Synopsis/Plot
Undercover Grandpa is a 2017 Canadian comedy drama directed by Erik Canuel and starring James Caan, Jessica Walter, and Dylan Everett.
The story follows 17-year-old Jake, a rebellious teen who is sent to live with his grandfather, Fred, after getting into trouble with the law. Fred is a former CIA agent who has been living a quiet life since his retirement. But when Jake’s friends get into trouble with a local gang, Fred must come out of retirement to protect them.
With the help of his old CIA contacts, Fred goes undercover as a biker and infiltrates the gang. But as he gets deeper and deeper into the gang, Fred must face his own demons and confront the darkness of his past.
Meanwhile, Jake must learn to accept his grandfather for who he is and understand that Fred is not the same person he used to be. As Fred and Jake’s relationship grows, Jake learns to appreciate his grandfather and the bond between them strengthens.
In the end, Fred and Jake must work together to save Jake’s friends and take down the gang. As they do, they learn to trust and rely on each other and come to understand the power of family.
