Synopsis/Plot
Uncle Drew is a 2018 American sports comedy film starring Kyrie Irving as the titular character. Uncle Drew is a streetball legend who has been around for years but has never been able to make it big. He is approached by Dax (Lil Rel Howery), a desperate streetball coach who needs to win a tournament to save his local gym from being taken over by a rival team. Dax convinces Uncle Drew to assemble a team of old basketball legends to compete in the tournament. Along the way, Uncle Drew and his team must face off against their former rivals, the Rucker Park All-Stars, as well as a group of trash-talking kids. The team must overcome their own personal issues and come together to prove that age is no barrier to playing the game they love. With the help of Dax and his team of misfits, Uncle Drew and his team of aging basketball stars must prove that they still have what it takes to win the tournament and save the day.
