Synopsis/Plot
UglyDolls is a 2019 animated musical comedy film directed by Kelly Asbury and written by Alison Peck, based on the plush toys of the same name. The film stars the voices of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Blake Shelton, Pitbull, Wanda Sykes, and Gabriel Iglesias.
The story follows Moxy, an optimistic, free-spirited UglyDoll, and her friends as they leave the comfort of their village and go on an adventure to the other side of the mountain to find out what is on the other side. Along the way, they learn that being different is a good thing and they must embrace their uniqueness to save the world.
The UglyDolls are a group of unique, colorful, and lovable plush dolls who live in Uglyville, an isolated community where everyone is accepted and celebrated for who they are. But when Moxy and her friends venture out of Uglyville, they discover Perfection, a town where conformity is key and anyone who is different is shunned.
