Synopsis/Plot
Two Lovers is a 2008 romantic drama film written and directed by James Gray. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vinessa Shaw, and Isabella Rossellini.
Set in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, the film tells the story of Leonard Kraditor, a troubled young man who is caught between his family’s expectations and his own dreams. Leonard is a recent transplant to New York City who is still reeling from a failed relationship. He meets two women, the beautiful and sophisticated Sandra and the more down-to-earth Michelle, and finds himself torn between them.
