Synopsis – What to Expect from “Turkey Drop”
Turkey Drop follows Lucy, an 18-year-old high school senior who is sent to her grandparents’ house in the small town of Turkey Drop, Texas, for Thanksgiving. She is dreading the visit, as she has never been close to her grandparents and is worried that she will be bored out of her mind.
Upon arriving, Lucy finds that her grandparents are warm and welcoming, and that the town is full of interesting characters. She quickly befriends a group of local teens and they all embark on a series of wild adventures, including a late-night bonfire, a daring rescue mission, and a wild turkey hunt.
As the week progresses, Lucy learns more about her grandparents and their past, and begins to understand why they are so important to her. She also starts to realize that her feelings for her newfound friends in Turkey Drop are more than just friendship.
When Thanksgiving arrives, Lucy must decide whether to return to her home and resume her old life, or stay in Turkey Drop and pursue a new one. As she struggles to make her decision, she discovers that the answer may be closer than she thinks.
