Synopsis – What to Expect from “Trust Me”
Trust Me is a 2013 American comedy-drama film directed by Clark Gregg and starring Gregg, Amanda Peet, and Sam Rockwell.
The story follows Howard Holloway (Gregg), an unsuccessful talent agent in Los Angeles who discovers a young girl named Lydia (Saxon Sharbino) who is a talented singer and dancer, and decides to take her under his wing. He quickly learns that the entertainment industry is a cut-throat business, and that he is in over his head.
Howard begins to manage Lydia’s career, and soon finds himself in a battle with the powerful and influential agent, Aldo Shocklee (Rockwell). Aldo is determined to sign Lydia and will do anything to make it happen, including threatening Howard and Lydia’s family.
Howard and Lydia must fight against the odds to get her career off the ground, and must also deal with the personal issues that come with working in the entertainment industry. Along the way, Howard learns to trust his own instincts and to stand up for what he believes in.
The film follows Howard and Lydia as they navigate the treacherous waters of the entertainment industry, and ultimately, it is a story about the power of friendship and the importance of standing up for what you believe in.
