Synopsis/Plot
True Grit is a classic western film released in 1969, starring John Wayne, Glen Campbell, and Kim Darby. The story follows a young girl, Mattie Ross (Darby), as she seeks revenge for her father’s murder. With the help of a drunken, one-eyed U.S. Marshall, Rooster Cogburn (Wayne), and a Texas Ranger, La Boeuf (Campbell), Mattie embarks on a dangerous journey to bring the killer to justice.
The trio soon find themselves in a world of danger, facing a gang of outlaws led by the notorious Tom Chaney (Jeff Corey). As they make their way across the unforgiving terrain of the Wild West, they must battle the elements, hostile natives, and their own personal demons in order to survive. Along the way, they form an unlikely bond and discover the true meaning of courage and friendship.
