Synopsis – What to Expect from “Trojan War”
Trojan War is a romantic comedy released in 1997 starring Will Friedle and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The movie follows Tom, a young man who is about to graduate from high school. He is in love with his classmate, Lea, but she is dating Brad, the school’s star athlete.
Tom decides to take matters into his own hands and enlist the help of his best friend, Ryan, to win Lea’s heart. Ryan comes up with a plan to stage a Trojan War in the school’s gymnasium, complete with costumes, props, and actors. Tom and Lea are the star-crossed lovers, while Brad plays the part of the Trojan prince.
The plan is a success and Lea is won over. However, Brad is not so easily defeated. He challenges Tom to a game of basketball, and if Tom wins, he gets to take Lea to the prom.
Tom and Ryan train hard for the upcoming game, and eventually, Tom is able to win. In the end, Tom and Lea go to the prom together, and the couple is reunited for good. Meanwhile, Ryan is able to find a girl of his own, and the two of them, along with Tom and Lea, form a close friendship.
