Synopsis – What to Expect from “Tragedy Girls”
Tragedy Girls is a dark comedy horror film released in October 2017. It follows two teenage girls, Sadie and McKayla, who are best friends and aspiring social media stars. When they realize that their small town isn’t providing enough material for them to get the attention they want, they decide to take matters into their own hands and start a killing spree.
The girls use their new found notoriety to become internet famous, but their newfound fame puts them in the crosshairs of the police and a mysterious serial killer. As the girls try to stay one step ahead of the law, they also must deal with their own inner demons.
The movie follows the girls’ journey as they become more and more desperate to stay ahead of the law. It is a darkly humorous look at the lengths people will go to for fame and the consequences of their actions. The movie also touches on the power of social media and how it can be used for good or bad.
The movie stars Alexandra Shipp and Brianna Hildebrand as Sadie and McKayla, respectively. It also stars Josh Hutcherson, Kevin Durand, and Craig Robinson. It is directed by Tyler MacIntyre and written by Chris Lee Hill and MacIntyre. The movie received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
