Synopsis/Plot
Tom and Jerry: The Movie is a 1992 American animated musical comedy film based on the Tom and Jerry characters and theatrical cartoon series created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The film follows the two titular characters, Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse, as they search for a home after being evicted from their old one. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including an evil dog catcher, a singing pirate, and an opera diva. As they travel, they must also outwit the dog catcher and other enemies in order to find a new home.
The film features the voices of Richard Kind, Dana Hill, Anndi McAfee, Tony Jay, Rip Taylor, and Henry Gibson, as well as cameos from Michael J. Fox and George Wendt. The music was composed by Henry Mancini, and the score was conducted by Carl Johnson. The film was directed by Phil Roman and produced by Fred Wolf.
