Synopsis/Plot

Togo is a 2019 drama film directed by Ericson Core and written by Tom Flynn. The film stars Willem Dafoe as Leonhard Seppala, an experienced musher who is tasked with leading a team of sled dogs on a treacherous mission to deliver diphtheria serum to the small town of Nome, Alaska, in 1925.

The film follows Seppala and his lead dog, Togo, as they brave the frozen tundra of Alaska and battle the elements in a race against time to save the town from a deadly outbreak of diphtheria. Along the way, Seppala must overcome his own personal demons, as well as the dangers of the unforgiving Alaskan wildernessSeppala and his team of dogs face numerous obstacles along their journey, from extreme weather conditions to dangerous wildlife. Despite the challenges, Seppala and Togo remain determined to reach Nome and deliver the serum. With time running out and the town’s fate hanging in the balance, Seppala and his team must rely on their strength, courage, and determination to make it to Nome in time and save the town from disaster.
