Synopsis/Plot
TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) is a 2007 American computer-animated martial arts superhero film written and directed by Kevin Munroe. It is based on the comic book characters of the same name, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The film stars the voices of James Arnold Taylor, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mako, Kevin Smith, Chris Evans, and Patrick Stewart.
The story follows the adventures of four teenage mutant ninja turtles—Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael—who are trained in the art of ninjutsu by their rat sensei, Splinter. The Turtles must work together to save New York City from the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan. Along the way, they must battle a variety of enemies, including a powerful new foe called the Tengu Shredder.
The film features fast-paced martial arts action, humor, and an original score by Klaus Badelt. TMNT was released in theaters on March 23, 2007 in the United States and grossed over $95 million worldwide. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and was nominated for an Annie Award for Best Animated Feature.
