Synopsis – What to Expect from “TINA”
TINA is a 2021 drama film based on the life of the legendary singer-songwriter Tina Turner. Directed by Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin, the film follows Tina’s incredible journey from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee to becoming one of the world’s most celebrated entertainers.
The film begins with an introduction to Tina’s early life in Nutbush, Tennessee. We see a young Tina (Danielle Macdonald) as she struggles to make ends meet with her family. Despite the odds, she has a dream of becoming a singer and eventually makes her way to St. Louis, Missouri. Here she meets Ike Turner (Bobby Cannavale), who takes her under his wing and introduces her to the world of R&B music.
