Synopsis/Plot
Timecop is a 1994 science fiction action film directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The film is about a police officer from the future who travels back in time to prevent the misuse of time travel technology.
The story takes place in the year 2004, when time travel has been invented and is being used by a corrupt politician to gain power and wealth. The protagonist, Max Walker (Van Damme), is a police officer from the future who is sent back in time to stop the politician from altering the past.
Max soon discovers that the politician has already changed the past and is now attempting to assassinate the President of the United States in order to gain control of the government. In order to stop him, Max must travel back in time to 1994 and prevent the assassination from occurring.
Max teams up with an old friend, Sarah Fielding (Mia Sara), to help him in his mission. Together they must battle the politician’s henchmen and prevent the assassination.
