Synopsis/Plot
Thumbelina is a 1994 animated musical fantasy film directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. It tells the story of a tiny girl, Thumbelina, who is the only one of her kind in the world. She is found by a kind old woman who takes her in and raises her like a daughter. Thumbelina is a kind and gentle soul who loves nature and animals.
One day, while out in the meadow, Thumbelina meets a fairy prince named Cornelius. Cornelius falls in love with Thumbelina and takes her to his kingdom in the sky, where she is welcomed by the other fairies. However, their happiness is soon threatened by a wicked toad who wants to marry Thumbelina and keep her in his kingdom.
With the help of her animal friends, Thumbelina embarks on an exciting adventure to find her true love and escape the toad’s evil clutches. Along the way, she encounters many obstacles and learns important lessons about love, friendship, and courage.
