Thirteen at Dinner is a 1985 British mystery thriller film directed by Lou Antonio and starring Peter Ustinov, Faye Dunaway, and Jonathan Cecil. The film follows the adventures of Hercule Poirot (Ustinov), the renowned Belgian detective, as he investigates the mysterious death of a wealthy American heiress.
The story begins when Lady Eddington (Dunaway), a wealthy American heiress, is found dead in her bedroom. She had been hosting a dinner party the night before, and there were thirteen people present. Hercule Poirot is called in to investigate the case and soon discovers that each of the dinner guests had a motive for murder.
Poirot begins to investigate each of the guests, including the heiress’s husband, her doctor, her lawyer, her secretary, her son, her daughter, and her maid. As he delves deeper into the case, Poirot discovers that the mystery is far more complex than it initially appears. He soon uncovers a tangled web of secrets, lies, and hidden agendas.
