Synopsis – What to Expect from “They Came Together”
They Came Together is a 2014 American romantic comedy film starring Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler. The movie follows the story of Joel and Molly, two New Yorkers who have been brought together by fate.
Molly is the owner of a small specialty candy shop, while Joel is a corporate executive for a large candy company. Despite their differences, they quickly fall in love and begin a relationship.
Their relationship is tested when Joel’s company decides to buy out Molly’s shop and close it down. Despite their efforts to keep the shop open, they ultimately fail and Molly is forced to close her shop.
Meanwhile, Joel’s boss assigns him to come up with a plan to save their failing business. Joel’s plan is to merge their company with Molly’s shop, and they must present the idea to the board of directors.
The board of directors is unimpressed with the idea and rejects it. Joel and Molly are forced to come up with a new plan to save the business. They come up with a plan to open a chain of candy stores that will combine their two companies.
The plan is successful and the two companies merge, and Joel and Molly are married. They live happily ever after, and the movie ends with a montage of their life together.
