Synopsis/Plot
The World’s End is a 2013 science fiction comedy directed by Edgar Wright, and starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, and Paddy Considine. The movie follows a group of five childhood friends, Gary King (Simon Pegg), Andy Knightley (Nick Frost), Peter Page (Eddie Marsan), Oliver Chamberlain (Martin Freeman), and Steven Prince (Paddy Considine), who reunite after 20 years for an epic pub crawl in their hometown of Newton Haven. However, they soon discover that their hometown has been taken over by a mysterious alien force, and they must work together to save the world.
The World’s End is a fast-paced, humorous, and action-packed film that follows the five friends as they battle their way through the 12 pubs of the Golden Mile, while trying to stop the alien invasion. Along the way, they must confront their pasts, and ultimately, come to terms with who they are.
