Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Vintner’s Luck”
The Vintner’s Luck is a 2009 romantic drama set in the beautiful vineyards of 19th century Burgundy, France. The story follows Sobran Jodeau, a humble vintner, who is blessed with a magical friendship with an angel. The angel, Xas, visits Sobran every year on the night of St. Vincent’s Day to offer him advice on his wine and his life.
The angel’s visits bring Sobran luck and success, but also bring him into contact with the beautiful and mysterious Baronne de Valandry. Sobran is instantly taken with her, but she is married to a much older man. Despite their differences, Sobran and the Baronne develop a deep and passionate love affair, one that will ultimately have dire consequences.
Sobran’s luck begins to run out when his vineyard is threatened by the Baronne’s husband, who is jealous of Sobran’s success. As Sobran struggles to save his vineyard, he must also confront the Baronne’s husband and the powerful forces that threaten to tear them apart.
The Vintner’s Luck is a beautiful and poetic film about love, loss, and the power of faith. It is a timeless story of hope and redemption, and a testament to the strength of the human spirit.
