Synopsis/Plot
The Vampire Lovers is a 1970 British horror film directed by Roy Ward Baker. It is based on the novel Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu and stars Ingrid Pitt, Peter Cushing, and Madeline Smith.
The story follows the beautiful and mysterious Carmilla Karnstein (Ingrid Pitt) who moves into an 18th century European village and quickly bewitches the locals with her charm and beauty. She soon reveals her true identity as a vampire and starts to feed on the villagers’ blood. Her victims include the daughter of General von Spielsdorf (Peter Cushing), who is determined to stop her.
