The film opens with a group of Mexican refugees fleeing from the Apache Indians. They are led by a young girl named Maria (Antoinette Bower). Colonel Thomas and his cavalry unit arrive to help the refugees, but they are too late to save them from the Apaches. Thomas and his men are then attacked by the Apaches, and Thomas is forced to retreat.
Meanwhile, Colonel Langdon and his Confederate troops are also on the trail of the Apaches. As they travel, they come across Thomas’ abandoned camp and discover the refugees. Langdon and his men decide to help the refugees, and join forces with Thomas and his troops.
The two sides then set out on a mission to protect the refugees from the Apaches. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including a battle with a band of Mexican bandits and a deadly shootout with the Apaches.
