Synopsis/Plot
The Swarm is a 1978 American disaster-horror film directed and produced by Irwin Allen. It stars an all-star cast of Michael Caine, Katharine Ross, Richard Widmark, Richard Chamberlain, Olivia de Havilland, Lee Grant, José Ferrer, Patty Duke, Slim Pickens, Fred MacMurray, Bradford Dillman, and Henry Fonda. The Swarm follows a group of scientists and the military as they attempt to combat a deadly swarm of African killer bees that have invaded the United States.
The film begins with a group of scientists, led by Dr. Bradford Crane (Michael Caine), investigating reports of a strange swarm of African killer bees that has been sighted in South America. After discovering the bees are rapidly advancing north, the group attempts to stop the swarm before it reaches the United States. However, their efforts are in vain as the bees make their way to Texas, where they begin to wreak havoc on the local population.
The military is called in to help, but their efforts are also unsuccessful. With the bees continuing to spread, the scientists and military devise a plan to contain the swarm by using a chemical agent that will kill the bees. However, the plan fails when the
