Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Stone Killer”
The Stone Killer is a 1973 American action-thriller directed by Michael Winner and starring Charles Bronson. The movie follows the story of veteran Los Angeles police detective Lou Torrey (Charles Bronson), who is sent to New York City to investigate a series of mob-related murders.
When Torrey arrives in New York, he quickly discovers that the mob is responsible for the murders, and is further shocked to find out that the mob is actually led by an old enemy of his from Los Angeles, Angelo Benedetto (Martin Balsam). Benedetto has been using the mob to take over the city’s criminal underworld, and has been systematically eliminating anyone who stands in his way.
Torrey teams up with a local detective, Frank Ochoa (Stuart Margolin), to investigate the murders and bring Benedetto to justice. As they dig deeper into the case, they discover that Benedetto is not only responsible for the murders, but is also planning a major heist of a large shipment of diamonds.
Torrey and Ochoa must race against time to stop Benedetto’s plan and bring him to justice. Along the way, they must battle the mob and its thugs, as well as a corrupt police department that is in cahoots with Benedetto. In the end, Torrey and Ochoa must face off against Benedetto in a final showdown that will determine the fate
