Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Stolen”
The Stolen is a 2017 New Zealand-American western crime drama directed by Niall Johnson.
The film follows Charlotte Lockton (Alice Eve), a young woman who is determined to find her son, who was kidnapped by a gang of outlaws. Charlotte sets out to track down the gang, led by the notorious criminal, James “Smiley” Burns (Jack Davenport), and enlist the help of a mysterious drifter, Samuel Alabaster (Graham McTavish).
Charlotte and Samuel travel across the American West in search of her son, encountering a variety of characters along the way, including a corrupt lawman, a ruthless bounty hunter, and a kind-hearted prostitute. As they get closer to their destination, they must battle the elements, and each other, in order to survive.
The Stolen is an action-packed adventure, filled with danger and suspense, as Charlotte and Samuel race against time to save her son from the hands of the outlaws. Along the way, they discover that the truth is often stranger than fiction, and that the greatest danger may come from within.
