Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Stakelander”
The Stakelander is a 2016 American horror film directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. The film follows Martin, a young man who is forced to go on the run after his home is destroyed by a religious cult. With the help of his mentor, a vampire hunter known as the “Stakelander”, Martin must fight to survive and protect those he loves.
The film begins with Martin (Connor Paolo) and his family living a peaceful life in a small rural community. Martin is a young man living with his parents and younger brother, and they all share a close bond. One day, their peaceful life is disrupted when a religious cult called The Brotherhood invades their home and destroys it. Martin and his family are forced to flee, and Martin is separated from his family.
Martin soon meets a mysterious vampire hunter known as the Stakelander (Nick Damici). The Stakelander takes Martin under his wing and teaches him the ways of the vampire hunter. Together, they travel across the country, facing numerous dangers as they hunt and fight vampires. Along the way, Martin discovers that The Brotherhood is connected to the vampires and is hunting him for some unknown reason.
