Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Sound”
The Sound is a 2017 psychological horror film directed by Jenna Mattison, starring Rose McGowan, Christopher Lloyd, and Michael Eklund.
The film follows a reclusive sound designer, Kelly (McGowan), who has been struggling with psychological issues since the death of her mother. She works out of her home studio, creating sound effects for horror movies. One night, Kelly begins to hear strange noises coming from outside her apartment. She soon discovers that the noises are coming from a mysterious creature that is hunting her.
Kelly soon discovers that the creature is attracted to sound and is using it to hunt her. She is forced to confront her fear and use her sound design skills to protect herself and her home. With the help of her neighbor, a retired professor (Lloyd), Kelly begins to unravel the mystery behind the creature.
