Synopsis/Plot
The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol is a 2011 animated movie based on the classic Charles Dickens tale. It follows the mischievous and often selfish Smurf, Grouchy, who is visited by three spirits. The spirits take him on a journey through time, showing him the consequences of his unkind behavior and ultimately teaching him the true meaning of Christmas.
The movie begins with the Smurfs celebrating the festive season, but Grouchy is not in the holiday spirit. He refuses to join in the festivities and instead chooses to stay in his house alone. That night, Grouchy is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, who takes him back in time to when he was a young Smurfling. He is then taken to the present day, where he sees the consequences of his selfish behavior. Finally, the Ghost of Christmas Future shows him a vision of the bleak future that awaits him if he continues on his current path.
Grouchy is moved by the visions he has seen and decides to change his ways. With the help of his friends, Grouchy is able to spread Christmas cheer throughout the village and learn the true meaning of the holiday. The movie ends with
