Synopsis/Plot
The Sisters Brothers is a 2018 Western crime comedy-drama film directed by Jacques Audiard and starring John C. Reilly, Joaquin Phoenix, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Riz Ahmed. Set in 1851, the story follows two notorious outlaw brothers, Eli and Charlie Sisters, who are hired by the Commodore to hunt down and kill a prospector named Hermann Kermit Warm. With the Commodore offering a generous reward, the Sisters brothers set out on a journey that takes them from Oregon City to San Francisco, and into the lawless Wild West. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a mysterious detective, a gunslinger, and a madam. As they make their way through the Wild West, the Sisters brothers must confront their own demons and make difficult decisions that will ultimately shape their future. With its mix of humor, violence, and a unique visual style, The Sisters Brothers is an exciting and entertaining journey through the Wild West.
