Synopsis/Plot
The Siege is a 1998 American action-thriller film directed by Edward Zwick and starring Denzel Washington, Annette Bening, Bruce Willis and Tony Shalhoub. The film follows the story of a group of FBI agents and U.S. Army soldiers who are trying to track down a terrorist group that is plotting a series of bombings in New York City.
The movie opens with a series of bombings in Brooklyn, New York that leave the city in a state of panic. FBI Special Agent Anthony Hubbard (Denzel Washington) is assigned to lead the investigation into the bombings. He is joined by an Army special forces team led by Major General William Devereaux (Bruce Willis). As the investigation progresses, the team discovers that the terrorists are part of a larger group that is planning to launch a massive attack on the city.
The team must race against time to stop the terrorists before they can launch their attack. Along the way, they face numerous obstacles including a lack of cooperation from the local authorities, a lack of resources, and a public that is growing increasingly hostile towards law enforcement.
