Synopsis/Plot
The Secret of NIMH is a 1982 animated fantasy-adventure film directed by Don Bluth. The film follows Mrs. Brisby, a timid mouse who lives in a cinder block with her children in the field of Farmer Fitzgibbons. When her youngest son falls ill, Mrs. Brisby must move the family out of the farmer’s field before plowing season arrives. Desperate for help, Mrs. Brisby turns to a mysterious group of rats who live in a hidden underground city called NIMH.
The rats of NIMH are revealed to be highly intelligent, having been enhanced by scientific experiments conducted by a mysterious organization known as NIMH. Led by the wise rat Justin, the rats of NIMH offer to help Mrs. Brisby move her house, but only if she can help them escape from the dangerous laboratory that created them.
Mrs. Brisby embarks on a thrilling adventure full of danger and discovery as she attempts to save her family and the rats of NIMH from the clutches of NIMH. Along the way, she meets a variety of characters, including a wise owl, a kind-hearted crow, and a comical cat. With
