Synopsis/Plot
The Rundown is an action-adventure comedy starring Dwayne Johnson as Beck, a bounty hunter who is sent to the Amazon rainforest to retrieve his employer’s son, Travis (Seann William Scott). Beck is a no-nonsense, tough-as-nails bounty hunter who will do whatever it takes to get the job done. Upon arriving in the Amazon, Beck discovers that Travis is in the middle of an ancient tribal war and has become the leader of a rebel faction. With the help of Mariana (Rosario Dawson), a beautiful guide, Beck must battle his way through the jungle to save Travis and get him back to his father. Along the way, Beck must battle a ruthless mercenary, Hatcher (Christopher Walken), and his army of mercenaries. The Rundown is an action-packed thrill ride with plenty of laughs and thrills, and Johnson’s charisma and charm make it an enjoyable ride.
