Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Prophecy”
The Prophecy is a 1995 supernatural thriller film directed by Gregory Widen. It stars Christopher Walken, Elias Koteas, Virginia Madsen, Eric Stoltz, and Viggo Mortensen.
The film follows Thomas Dagget, an angel played by Christopher Walken, who is sent to Earth to investigate a prophecy that a human will soon possess the power to decide the fate of mankind. Meanwhile, the archangel Gabriel (Elias Koteas) is determined to stop this prophecy from coming true by killing the human who will soon possess this power.
Thomas is aided by a police officer named Katherine (Virginia Madsen), who is investigating a string of mysterious murders. Together, they uncover a conspiracy involving a group of Satanists led by the mysterious Gabriel, who are plotting to bring about the apocalypse.
Thomas and Katherine soon discover that the prophecy is true and that the human in question is none other than Thomas himself. He must now choose to either accept his destiny or reject it and face the consequences.
