Synopsis/Plot
The Princess Switch is a 2018 Netflix romantic comedy film directed by Mike Rohl, starring Vanessa Hudgens. The story follows Stacy DeNovo, a young baker from Chicago, who is invited to participate in the Christmas baking competition at Belgravia, a small European kingdom. When she arrives, she meets Lady Margaret Delacourt, the soon-to-be Duchess of Montenaro, who looks exactly like Stacy. The two decide to switch places for a few days, with Margaret pretending to be Stacy and Stacy pretending to be Margaret. As they spend more time together, the two women begin to bond and learn more about each other. When Stacy discovers that Margaret is engaged to the handsome Prince Edward, she finds herself falling for him, despite the fact that they are both engaged to other people. As the competition and the royal wedding approach, Stacy must decide whether to stay in Belgravia as Margaret, or return to Chicago and leave her newfound love behind. The Princess Switch is a charming and heartwarming story about the power of love and self-discovery.
