Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Order”
The Order is a 2001 action-adventure film directed by Sheldon Lettich and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The movie follows Alex Bernier (Van Damme), a Catholic priest who is sent to Rome to investigate the mysterious death of his mentor and friend, Father Dominic. While in Rome, Alex discovers a secret society called the Order that is devoted to protecting the world from evil forces. The Order is led by the mysterious and powerful Cardinal Sion (Christopher Plummer) and is composed of a select group of warriors and priests.
Alex soon finds himself caught up in a battle between the forces of good and evil as the Order attempts to protect a sacred relic from the clutches of a powerful demon. Alex must use his knowledge of martial arts and weapons to fend off the demon’s minions and protect the relic. Along the way, he discovers the true power of faith and the importance of protecting the innocent.
The film culminates in a thrilling climax as Alex and the Order face off against the demon and its minions in a battle to save the world.
