Synopsis/Plot
The Nutty Professor is a 1996 comedy film starring Eddie Murphy. Directed by Tom Shadyac, the film follows the story of Professor Sherman Klump, a nerdy, overweight professor of biochemistry at a California university. Klump is a brilliant scientist, but he is also painfully shy and insecure. After a humiliating experience at a faculty dinner, Klump decides to use his knowledge of biochemistry to create a potion that will turn him into a suave and confident version of himself.
Klump invents a formula that transforms him into Buddy Love, a smooth-talking, ultra-confident ladies’ man. While Buddy Love is a hit with the ladies, he also causes Klump a lot of trouble, as his outrageous behavior often leads to embarrassing situations. Klump must find a way to reverse the formula and get rid of Buddy Love before he ruins his life and reputation.
