Synopsis/Plot
The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter is a 1990 fantasy-adventure film directed by George T. Miller and starring Jonathan Brandis, Kenny Morrison, and Clarissa Burt. The film is the sequel to the 1984 classic, The NeverEnding Story, and continues the adventures of Bastian, a young boy who finds himself drawn into a magical world of dreams and imagination.
The film begins with Bastian, now a teenager, having grown bored with his everyday life. He is soon drawn back into the magical world of Fantasia, where he discovers that the kingdom is in danger of being destroyed by the evil sorceress Xayide. With the help of Atreyu, a brave warrior from Fantasia, Bastian must embark on a quest to save Fantasia from destruction. Along the way, he meets a variety of strange and wonderful creatures, including a rock giant, a magical bird, and a mysterious creature known as The Emptiness.
