Synopsis/Plot
The Net is a 1995 American cyber-thriller starring Sandra Bullock as Angela Bennett, a computer programmer who discovers that her identity has been stolen by a mysterious hacker. Bennett is soon on the run from a sinister government agency, as she attempts to uncover the truth behind her stolen identity.
The film follows Bennett as she discovers that her identity has been stolen by a hacker named The Plague, who has taken over her life and created a false identity for her. She soon discovers that the hacker is part of a larger conspiracy involving a powerful software program called Gatekeeper, which has the potential to control the world’s computer networks.
Bennett is forced to go on the run as she attempts to uncover the truth behind her identity theft and the sinister government agency that is behind it. Along the way, she must evade the agency’s agents and uncover the truth about Gatekeeper.
