The Muse is a comedy-drama released in 1999, starring Albert Brooks, Sharon Stone, Andie MacDowell, and Jeff Bridges.
The movie follows Steven Phillips (Brooks), a Hollywood screenwriter who is struggling to come up with a new idea for a movie. He is under a lot of pressure from his studio boss Jack Warrick (Bridges) and is desperately searching for inspiration.
One day, Steven meets Sarah Little (Stone), a mysterious woman who claims to be a muse. She has the ability to inspire people to greatness, and Steven is instantly taken with her. He hires her to help him come up with a new script, and the two of them quickly become close.
However, Sarah’s mysterious past soon catches up with her. It turns out she is actually the daughter of a famous Hollywood producer, and she has been running away from her past for years. With the help of Steven and his wife Laura (MacDowell), they are able to uncover the truth about Sarah and help her to come to terms with her past.
The movie follows Steven as he works with Sarah to come up with a new script, while also dealing with the pressures of his job and his family life.
